LensAI Advertising Policies provide guidance on what types of ad content are allowed. When Advertisers make an offer, each ad is reviewed against these policies.
Prohibited Content
Fake or Illegal Products
Ads must not constitute, facilitate, or promote counterfeit or illegal products. Counterfeit products display a trademark or logo that is identical to or almost indistinguishable from the original trademark. Counterfeit products mimic the brand features of the genuine product. This LensAI policy applies to the content of your ad and your website or app.

Examples: recreational drugs (chemical or herbal substances); psychotropic substances, drug-related paraphernalia, guns and weapons, ammunition, explosives and fireworks, explosives-making manuals, instructions on the assembly of the functionality of firearms, tobacco or tobacco-related products.
Dishonest Behavior
Ads must not constitute, facilitate or promote products or services that enable or display dishonest behavior.
Examples: hacking software or manuals, generating fake traffic to ads or websites, false documents, deceitful academic practices and services.

Prohibited Practices
Ad Network Abuse
Ads must not constitute, facilitate or promote products or services that attempt to deceive or circumvent our ad review policy.
Examples: malicious software, spyware and other tools that mislead where the user will be taken, "games" or changes of settings to circumvent our ad review policy.
Data Collection and Use
We want our users to be assured that information we collect about them will be processed with due respect. Thus, our Ad Partners must not abuse, misuse, or collect this information for vague purposes and without appropriate security protocol. Note that we apply additional rules to use personal ads, such as remarketing and specific audiences. If you use personal ad targeting tools, learn more about our data collection and use policy.
Examples of "sensitive" information: full name, email, mailing address, phone number, race or ethnic group, religion, retirement account, social security number, tax ID, driver's license, health insurance ID, date of birth, mother's maiden name attached to any examples above, financial status, political affiliation, sexual identity. Examples of abused data collection: credit card numbers collected over an unsecured server, ad promotions that explicitly reveal sexual identity or financial status of users, violation of LensAI policies of ads based on user interests and remarketing.
Distorted Information
We want our users to trust our ad platform. Thus, our goal is to provide ads that are honest and clear, explicit enough to help users make good decisions. Ads must not constitute, facilitate or promote products or services that mislead users, exclude relevant products or services information or provide misleading facts on products, services and businesses.
Examples: skipped or undisclosed payment information, such as a full expense that a user will bear; excluded or undisclosed transactions related fees such as interest rates, commissions, and penalties; undisclosed tax ID or license number, proper contact information; unrealistic offers, misleading or unrealistic statements on weight loss or financial benefits; false fundraisers, "fishing" or misrepresentation of a trusted business in order to solicit personal or financial information.
Restricted Content
The following policies apply to content that is sometimes deemed as "sensitive" from a legal or cultural perspective. Online ads are a powerful tool to attract customers, but there are some "gray areas" where we try to filter ads as inappropriate.
The following policies allow the content on a restricted basis. This content may not be visible to users in some regions, thus Advertisers may need to comply with additional requirements before their ads are allowed for display.
Adult Content
Ads should respect user preferences and comply with legal regulations, thus we prohibit certain adult content in ads and destinations. Some types of ads and destinations are allowed if they comply with the following policy and do not target minors. Such ads will be displayed in restricted scenarios based on users' search preferences, their age, and local legislation in the area of ad display. Learn more about violations of this policy.
Examples of restricted adult content: strip clubs, adult movie theaters, sex toys, adult magazines, products that enhance sexual performance, dating sites, sexually suggestive poses.
Alcohol
We abide by local alcohol laws and industry standards, thus we prohibit certain kinds of alcohol advertising, including ads of drinks that resemble alcohol. Some types of alcohol ads are allowed if they comply with the following policies, are not intended for minors and target only those countries where such ads are permitted.
Examples of prohibited alcohol drinks: beer, wine, sake, hard liquor, champagne, fermented wine, non-alcoholic beer, non-alcoholic wine, non-alcoholic distilled beverages.
Copyrighted Content
We abide by local copyright laws and protect the rights of copyright owners, thus, we prohibit ads that display unauthorized copyrighted content. If you are a copyright owner, apply for a copyright certificate. If you notice unauthorized content, submit a copyright violation complaint.
Gambling and Games
We support responsible gambling and games ads and abide by the local laws on gambling and industry standards. Thus, we prohibit certain types of ads related to gambling. Gambling-related ads are allowed if they comply with the following policies and Advertisers have obtained an approval certificate from LensAI. Gambling ads must target approved countries, have a valid landing page that discloses information on these games, and never target minors. Learn more about restrictions by countries and regions.
Examples of gambling-related restricted content: offline casinos, websites where users can make real bets in poker, bingo, slot machines or sports event; national or private lotteries, online sports bookmakers, websites offering bonus codes or vouchers for online gambling; online gambling tutorials; "poker for fun" websites, websites that host cash games not related to gambling.
Health-Related Content and Medications
We strive to follow advertising regulations for healthcare and medicine, thus, ads and destinations are expected to follow local laws and industry standards. Some content related to healthcare is prohibited, whereas others can be advertised after it gets an approval certificate from LensAI and targets approved countries. Learn more about restrictions by country.
Political Content
We support responsible political ads and expect such ads to comply with local laws on political campaigns and elections in targeted countries, including law-mandated "silence periods."
Examples: lobbying for a certain political party or candidate, political propaganda.
Financial Services
We want our users to be provided with adequate information to make good financial decisions. Our policies serve to equip users with information necessary to weigh the costs related to financial products and services and to protect them from harmful or misleading practices. Thus, we approve financial products and services that are related to management and investment of funds and cryptocurrencies, including personal finance consultations. Check federal and local legislation in targeted countries (such as required disclosures) before promoting financial products and services. Learn more about restrictions in our incomplete list for some countries but note that Advertisers are expected to do their own research for any targeted location.
Trademarks
We follow a few factors that determine when trademarks are allowed to be used in ads. Besides the factors listed in our Knowledge Base Manual, these factors are applied only if the trademark owner filed a complaint with LensAI.
Legal Requirements
On top of complying with LensAI Ad Policies, Advertisers and Publishers are liable for compliance with any and every applicable law and regulation in the region where their ads are displayed.
Other Restricted Businesses
We prohibit certain types of businesses from advertising with us to prevent users from being exploited, even if such businesses appear to be compliant with our other policies. From time to time, based on our internal processes and feedback from users, regulators, and consumer protection agencies, we determine which products and services are subject to abuse. If we determine certain businesses as posing an unreasonable risk to our users, we may restrict or stop ad display.
Restricted Ad Functions and Formats
Access to advanced ad functions and formats in LensAI is determined by many factors. Some formats are not available until they comply with our specific requirements and receive an approval certificate.
Kids Content Policy
Advertisers are prohibited from displaying personalized ad content intended for kids. More on what is considered "intended for kids" can be found here: https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/blogs/business-blog/2019/11/youtube-channel-owners-your-content-directed-children
Editing and Technical Specs
We wish to display ads that attract customers but do not annoy them and don't make this interaction complicated. Thus, we developed editing specs to make sure your ads remain attractive to users. We have also designed technical specs to make sure both users and Advertisers receive maximum benefit from a variety of ad formats we offer.
Editing Specs
